UpNext Family Privacy Policy
UpNext Family helps families coordinate activity schedules by importing calendar feeds and calendars selected by a parent. The app is designed as a local-first product: family schedule data stays on the device unless the parent chooses a calendar feed that must be fetched from the source provider.
Before launch, replace the support email placeholder and publish this page at a stable public URL for App Store Connect.
Data Stored On Device
- Child names, nicknames, activity labels, and optional notes entered by the parent.
- Calendar feed labels, source names, redacted URLs, sync status, and warnings.
- Full calendar feed URLs in Keychain where available.
- Imported event titles, dates, times, locations, notes, source URLs, changes, and local conflict results.
- Notification preferences and travel-buffer settings.
- Lifetime Unlock entitlement state after an App Store purchase or restore.
Data Sent Off Device
- Calendar feed requests are sent to the calendar provider identified by the feed URL, such as a team, school, camp, or activity platform.
- App Store purchase and restore actions are handled by Apple through StoreKit.
- The current MVP does not include analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, a backend account system, or third-party crash reporting.
Apple Calendar Access
If a parent grants calendar access, UpNext Family reads selected event calendars so it can build the family briefing, schedule changes, and conflict checks. UpNext Family does not edit Apple Calendar.
Children's Data
Family schedules can reveal sensitive information about children. UpNext Family treats full calendar URLs as private because some signed feed links can expose a child schedule. Parents should only import calendars they are allowed to access.
Data Deletion
Parents can delete all local app data from Settings. This removes children, feeds, imported events, changes, conflicts, pending shared imports, settings, and stored calendar feed URLs on that device.
